The room was ok, although very warm. That could be attributed to the weather though. Pity no airco was available. The pillows of the bed aren't of a high quality. I woke up one morning where my bed was full of fluffs coming from the pillow I slept on.
The Waldpark nearby invited me to a walk each morning. The tram provided a quick connection to the center.
What astounded me as a solo traveler that in the breakfast room I was directed by the male chef to a small mediocre table because the table I was originally on for the whole week was intended for three people. I never saw enough people the whole week to justify such an attitude, certainly considering the amount of money I have to pay. Clearly this hotel need some improvement for solo travellers.
I took this hotel on recommandation of my sister and brother in law and because it was nearest to my family, but I reconsider the next time.
We stayed for 7 nights in Mid December 2014. ||The room was very clean, comfortable and fully functioned. It was spacious enough for 3 of us including all the luggages. The housekeeping staff was excellent.||The buffet breakfast was basic …
Located very near public transport makes getting there really easy. The staff are polite and helpful. The room was clean and tidy with a comfortable bed, the rain shower head in bathroom is a big bonus. The breakfast (if purchased) is well equipped has a good spread to choose from. The whiskey selection is definitely on point!
We stayed for four nights at the Hotel Andreas on a recent trip to Germany for the Christmas markets. Our room was spacious (by European standards) and very quiet, despite the fact that we were on the street side. Tram stops right outside …
Old fashion in need of renovation...room still has key with big wooden pear who have to hold arround in case you return to your room after 10.p.m We booked Junior suite and as frequant travellers paid the most expensive price for it...big disapoitment, no air conditionnair, low cilling with ventilator (danger for tall people) terrible noise tram and traffic from the street, shower only for ones who wash their hair every day(!?) old fashion jacuzzi tab, which consume a lot of watter (we did not use it), kind of small electrical heater on the wall presented as fire-place(!?). Breakfast and service were correct! Beautiful garden not well metained ( full of leafs)...Private parking on hotel ground nor on the next street was not available although we got instructions to park there!
The pension is nice and well located, in Blasewitz, a 20ies style residential area, close to the historical center. And also very close to Elba bike areas. Rooms are new but very small. Very clean. Big tv, breakfast is apart for 13 euros. I found that 85 euros a night is too much for this place. Especially for Germany.
Very friendly and forthcoming staff, can recommend. Only downfall is that traffic was quite noisy in my room and the fan was squeaky.
Good. Quiet. Clean. Smells good. Friendly service, if slightly messy with the handling of wify passwords & mail. I did not appreciate the opening times of the spa, which is only late in the day... And the fact that the spa is closed on weekend and holidays(!) ... In connection to my business schedule it made the spa completely unavailable during my stay. Going there for a weekend of wellness? Better check the opening times very carefully! Leaving the matter of the spa aside, the hotel is actually attractive and in a convenient location.
